Abstract
Data gathered through individual interviews and a survey questionnaire from 43 professionals in a single department indicated that variations in the reported organizational stress could be explained better by belief in powerful others than by chance or internality. Unexpectedly, the presence of stressful events in personal relationships was the strongest predictor of organizational stress.
