Abstract
Two experiments were conducted in which Ss imagined single common animals, animal pairs and animal triads on separate trials. As the number of to-be-imagined animals was increased, Ss took longer to form the image and rated the image as less clear. The results support the view that imaginal behavior is a proper domain of psychological study.
