Abstract

Recent rearrangement of material within the William Speirs Bruce collection in Edinburgh University Library has revealed a wealth of manuscripts, photographs and press-cuttings relating to Bruce's expeditions and those of his contemporaries. The fact that it was uncatalogued resulted in its existence being overlooked by researchers. A brief outline of the scope of the collection is presented with a preliminary shelf-catalogue of the contents.
