Abstract
The chemical composition of the pore solution expressed from matrices of simulated borate liquid waste (containing H3BO3, Na2SO4, Na2HPO4 and Ca3(PO4)2) and pozzolanic cement (Spanish type IV-35) and the changes caused by leaching over 180 days in deionized water at temperatures of 20 and 40°C were studied. The leaching was carried out according to the ANSI/ANS-16.1-1986 test. In addition, the change of the solid phase was characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy.
