Abstract
Chaos theory investigates processes that initially seem so complex that they do not appear to be governed by any known principles; however, they actually have an underlying order that can be described mathematically. The application of chaos theory to human behavior and experience demonstrates an affinity with humanistic psychology that deserves attention, especially in such areas as creativity, health, and the sleep cycle.
