Abstract
Upon the twentieth anniversary of the publication of Qualitative Inquiry, the author discusses the history of qualitative research as the location for our academic critical pedagogy. Additionally, she explains how/why the field facilitates future visions and actions that would increase possibilities for justice in all aspects of the world around us.
