Abstract
Suggestion systems are pervasive in both public and private organizations. Too often viewed as a simple suggestion box, suggestion plans can actually be major contributors to improving organizational productivity. What are employee suggestion programs like in government? What cost-saving benefits are incurred? This article provides fresh information on these questions and introduces new data on the relationship between employee participation in awards programs and dollars saved.
