Abstract
From 1975 through 1986, federal funds were made available in the form of "Dean's Grants" to colleges of education to help prepare teachers to teach mainstreamed handicapped students. Models of preparation ranged from curriculum infusion to required courses. This study provides follow-up data from practicing teachers who completed a curriculum infusion model at one large, midwestern teachers college. Findings from the study are presented and discussed. Implications for infusion models are discussed, as are alternative approaches to preparing teachers for mainstreaming .
