Abstract
Mechanical adhesion parameters are vital in many coating applications. A test proce dure is outlined to check this type of adhesion, expressed as peel strength. The peel and tensile (breaking) strengths of two series of fabrics made with different yarns, and the possible effect of shrinkage of false twist textured yarns on peel adhesion, are reviewed and discussed.
