Abstract
In the first part of this article, it was suggested that Chinese philosophy could provide the basis for a new, modified, holistic approach to occupational therapy. The second part reveals that some of the basic principles of Chinese philosophy are already, albeit indirectly, being used in occupational therapy management and treatment, for example, general systems theory and sensory integration theory. Other possible applications are explored.
