Abstract

The purpose of this article is to discuss the value of Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership ( JCEL) in teaching the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) standards. In this article, the authors discuss the process of how a department of educational leadership developed an appreciation for the journal by aligning JCEL cases to NCATE standards for the purpose of the instruction of educational leadership. Next, a faculty member shares her experience with employing case studies in her teaching, and finally, the table (including cases through 2009) that is distributed to faculty members of the department is included.
