Abstract

Every finite field of order q ( > 3 ) q( > 3) such that q ≢ 7 ( mod 12 ) q \not \equiv 7(\mod 12) and q ≢ 1 ( mod 60 ) q \not \equiv 1(\mod 60) contains a pair of consecutive primitive roots.
