Abstract
An analysis of accelerated tests for some items using the General Law of Reliability has been presented. It has been shown that depending on the nature of a correlation between the variation coefficient and the mean time to failure at change of stress items can be subdivided into two classes: those with positive and negative correlation respectively. To explain this we use concepts of inhomogeneity for mixes and structure inhomogeneity for items. It has been demonstrated that these classes are characterized by different statistical properties, which should be taken into consideration while selecting the failure model.
