Abstract
Abstract
Information systems research and practice is to a large extent concerned with analysing the properties and behaviour of the organizations within which IS innovation takes place. Yet, the analytical capacity of information systems research to consider the social context of IS innovation remains limited. Overall, IS studies have not developed theories and methodologies to account for the environment within which information systems are shaped and interact with human actors.
