Abstract
AbstractThe European corn borer, Ostrinia nubilalis (Hübner), has two distinct geographical populations in southwestern Ontario. The time required for diapause termination is the main distinguishing feature. This together with different critical photoperiods for diapause induction explains the occurrence of two complete generations in the southern portion and only one in the northern portion of this region.
