The article examines the essence and structure of the economic potential, intellectual potential and intellectual capital of the enterprise. The process of forming the enterprise's potential is one of the directions of its economic strategy and involves the creation and organization of a system of resources and competencies so that the result of their interaction is a success factor in achieving the strategic, tactical and operational goals of the enterprise. The economic potential of the enterprise consists of the potentials of various areas of its activity: production, organization, marketing, financial, scientific and technical, informational. Researchers summarize all types of potential in the form of objective and subjective potential. Human, structural and informational potentials cannot be attributed to the objective or subjective potential of the enterprise. These components form the intellectual potential, which by its nature is a subjective-objective potential. The main component of the intellectual potential of the enterprise is its intellectual capital, which includes the human and structural capital of the enterprise. The analysis of intellectual capital and its components in the context of the formation of the economic potential of the enterprise made it possible to reveal the main relationships between intellectual capital, intellectual potential and the economic potential of the enterprise. Intellectual capital is the starting factor for the formation of the intellectual potential of the enterprise, which is an important component of the economic potential and a prerequisite for the sustainable development of the enterprise.
