Actomyosin dynamics modulate microtubule deformation and growth during T-cell activation

Abstract

Cytoskeletal dynamics plays a critical role in T-cell activation. We show that distinct actomyosin networks at the T-cell immune synapse differentially modulate microtubule growth rates and filament deformation. This indicates that mechanical coupling between these cytoskeletal systems is required for the organization of the immune synapse.
