Abstract

Paratuberculosis is a chronic enteritis of ruminants caused by the facultative intracellular pathogen Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis . The Th1 response inhibits the proliferation of M. avium subsp. paratuberculosis during the early subclinical stage.
