Abstract

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease caused byTreponema pallidumsub.pallidum.T. pallidumcan invade many organs, andT. pallidumDNA can be detected in various tissues and fluids. The results reported here demonstrated thatT. pallidumDNA could be detected in urine in patients at all stages of syphilis.
