Abstract

Invasive fungal infections are a major cause of morbidity and mortality for immunocompromised patients. Posaconazole is approved for treatment and prophylaxis of invasive fungal infection in adult patients, with intravenous, oral suspension, and gastroresistant/delayed-released tablet formulations available.
