Abstract

Antibiotic resistance is a global health concern due to indiscriminate use of antibiotics, resistance transfer, and intrinsic resistance of certain Gram-negative bacteria. The asymmetric bacterial outer membrane prevents the entry of hydrophobic antibiotics and renders them ineffective.
