Abstract
ABSTRACTHuman isolates ofSalmonella entericaserovars Hadar, Kentucky, Virchow, Schwarzengrund, and the monophasic variant ofS. Typhimurium,Salmonella entericasubsp.entericaserovar 4,5,12:i:− were examined for mutations within the quinolone resistance target genesgyrA,gyrB,parC, andparEand for plasmid-mediated resistance genes. Differences were observed among the serovars. A novel variant ofqnrD,qnrD2, was detected in anS. Hadar isolate.
