AbstractA review of the effects of NSP-hydrolysing enzyme products in the utilization of dietary energy and nutrients; viscosity of intestinal digesta; intestinal microflora; water intake and dry matter content of excreta; and litter conditions is presented. The NSP-hydrolysing enzymes in peas, lupins and rapeseed (canola) meal are also discussed along with the new opportunities in the use of dietary enzymes in poultry nutrition.
