Abstract
This chapter presents the Southeast Asia Regional Office (WHO) guidelines for the clinical diagnosis and management of dengue haemorrhagic fever during the febrile, critical and convalescence phases. The criteria for discharge from hospital and management of expanded dengue syndrome (encephalopathy, encephalitis and comorbidities such as haemoglobinuria, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, heart disease, chronic liver diseases, chronic renal failure and other associated infections) are discussed.
