Abstract
The presence of mucilagenous material was examined in seeds of two Brassica campestris L. cultivars (Tobin and Candle) and four B. napus L. cultivars (Andor, Regent, Triton and Westar) grown at five different locations in Western Canada. Geographical location and variety both significantly (P < 0.001) affected the mucilage levels among the canola seeds studied.Key words: Canola, mucilage, varieties, location
