Ukraiński rynek kukurydzy na tle zmian światowych

Abstract

Maize belongs to the most important crops and industrial grains in the world and Ukraine is becoming one of the key producers and exporters of maize in the world. The aim of the study was to assess the determinants of maize production changes in Ukraine in the context of internal and global conditions. The work presents changes in production, consumption and prices in Ukraine against their counterparts in the world. In light of the research, it has been shown that there is an increase of integration of the Ukrainian maize market with global markets. This phenomenon was supported by the increase in demand for maize on global markets caused by the development of biofuel production and the relatively low costs of cereal production in Ukraine.
