1. Tim Dornan is an internal medicine and endocrinology specialist who has worked in the UK National Health Service for over thirty years. He developed a second career in medical education, retiring from clinical practice and moving to Maastricht University. He supervises many graduate students, concentrating on research into workplace learning in the health professions.
2. Debra Nestel has worked in clinical communication for over twenty-five years, using her background in sociology and education. Her research focuses on the involvement in education of patients and their proxies, simulated patients. Debra is currently implementing a training program for simulation educators and technicians and has recently launched a Masters degree in Surgical Education in Australia.
