Abstract
Abstract
The paper focuses on research on the political decision-making process in the Skopje 2014 project. It describes the procedure for execution of the project from the aspect of transparency and involvement of different segments of Macedonian society based on journalistic article analysis. Thematic analysis was used as the method to accomplish the research. The analysis of the articles shows the undemocratic way of making decisions about the future urban landscape of the capital. In this case, the Disneyfication of the Skopje city centre was only used as a tool for the construction of a competitive authoritarian regime.
