Gender differences in the manifestation of self-control of district police officials with different level of professional burnout

Abstract

the article presents the results of an empirical study of gender differences in the manifestation of self-control of district police officers with different levels of professional burnout. The empirical study involved employees of internal affairs bodies holding the positions of district and senior district police officers, as well as heads and deputies of the PDMA and PDN. The sample consisted of 192 people (96 women and 96 men aged 20 to 45 years with service experience in the police department from 5 to 20 years). An empirical study was conducted on the basis of a set of methods: test questionnaire "Professional burnout for law enforcement officers" (K. Maslach, S. Jackson, adapted by N.E. Vodopyanova); self-control test (A.A. Zolotareva); studies of self-government (Yu. Kul, A. Furman, adapted by O.V. Mitina and E.I. Rasskazova); test questionnaire for self-organization of activity (E.Yu. Mandrikova); SORE (E.I. Rasskazova, T.O. Gordeeva, E.N. Osin); questionnaire of the life position of the individual (D.A. Leontiev, A.E. Shilmanskaya); resilience test questionnaire (S. Maddy, adapted by D.A. Leontiev and E.I. Rasskazova); scale of organizational stress (A. McLean, adapted by N.E. Vodopyanova); identity/marginalism test (E.P. Ermolaeva); test of motivators of socio-psychological activity of a person (N.P. Fetisov, V.V. Kozlov, G.M. Mainulov). According to the results of the study, gender differences in the manifestation of self-control of district police officers with different levels of professional burnout were established.
