Abstract
A family of biaryl/alkylthiophene (R–R) benzimidazolyl-based tripodal molecules with cyclic benzene trimer (CBT) motif was synthesized and studied by NMR spectroscopy and MPW1PW91/6-311+G(d,p) theory.
