All-optical investigation of tunable picosecond magnetization dynamics in ferromagnetic nanostripes with a width down to 50 nm

Abstract

Optically induced ultrafast magnetization dynamics in arrays of Ni₈₀Fe₂₀ nanostripes showed strong width dependent frequency, anisotropy and the spatial nature of spin waves. We also demonstrated detection of dynamics of single nanostripes with width down to 50 nm.
