Abstract
Determining how to build a community across learners and educators using tools that were seldom used prior to the pandemic was a challenge for many in the chemistry education community. The methods by which the authors of the following three chapters describe building community bring new theoretical perspectives and fresh practices to our field and capture the moments when our teaching practices and routines were disrupted.
