Abstract

The synthesis and structure of four phosphine-stabilized gold–gallium clusters is presented, showing novel structural motives like a [AuGa]x chain, which is similar to the –SL–(Au–SL–)n staple motifs in thiolate-stabilized gold cluster compounds.
