Abstract

Wide bandgaps, strong SHG responses, and sufficient birefringence are observed in the first examples of 5d0-transition metal fluoroiodates, A2WO2F3(IO2F2) (A = Rb, and Cs), which were constructed by dual-fluorination-directed bandgap engineering.
