Abstract

In Ca₃Ln(AlO)₃(BO₃)₄, ions with larger radii tend to occupy the lower coordination site, while smaller ions prefer to occupy the higher coordination site. This phenomenon is explained by the spatial hindrance Ca₃Ln(AlO)₃(BO₃)₄:Ce³⁺,Tb³⁺,Mn²⁺ phosphors exhibit white emission.
