Abstract

We report the computational discovery of a chemical composition for kesterite-type solar cell absorbers, Cu₂CdGeS₃Se, that solves the key challenges associated with Cu₂ZnSnS₄ defect thermodynamics while showing an optimal band gap and bulk stability.
