Abstract

The first quaternary telluride, Mn1.8(1)In0.8(1)Si2Te6, of the Mn–In–Si–Te system has been synthesized and characterized. The phase shows ultralow thermal conductivity (0.28 W m−1 K−1 at 773 K) values.
