Abstract

LGO:Cr/IrO2 shows NIR-persistent luminescence, a PTT effect under NIR irradiation, and a continuous “afterglow” PDT effect without the need for in situ excitation owing to persistent energy transfer from LGO:Cr to the IrO2, in turn generating ROS.
