Abstract

Silylene, [PhC(NtBu)₂SiN(SiMe₃)₂] (1) underwent C(sp³)–F, C(sp²)–F and C(sp³)–H bond activation with trifluoroacetophenone, octafluorotoluene, and acetophenone, respectively, under ambient conditions.
