Abstract

A series of trianion assemblies with hexaazatriphenylenehexacarbonitrile {HAT(CN)6} and hexaazatrinaphthylenehexacarbonitrile {HATNA(CN)6} with Fe(ii) or Co(ii) ions are obtained. Parameters affecting the magnetic properties of the assemblies are discussed.
