Abstract
A novel stable 3-electron nanocluster Ag34 was assembled for the first time by the oxidation of a thiol, the central Ag atom of which was replaced with a Au atom, forming another alloyed nanocluster Ag33Au, causing a change in the optical absorbance and electrochemical energy gap.
