Abstract
Polar liquids are sucked instantaneously into the stronger region of a non-uniform electrostatic field, whereas this phenomenon is time-dependent with non-polar liquids. Experiments were made to prove the existence of dielectrophoresis under conditions in which electrophoretic forces could make no contribution to liquid motion.
