Abstract
In this paper it is proved that in addition to generating vorticity, the shock waves in conducting gases generate electric current also. Secondly, it is shown that the expression for vorticity in conducting gases, in contrast to non-conducting gases, depends on the thermodynamic behaviour of the fluid. Furthermore, an interesting relation between the normal components of the vorticity and current density is discovered.
