Abstract
In the previous paper Moran has analysed the effect upon surviving frog's muscles of exposure to temperatures below 0° C., by estimating the changes in the irritability, osmotic quality and other properties of the muscle on thawing. The muscle was passed through a cycle of temperature, with a pause of longer or shorter duration at the lowest temperature, and the assumption is made tacitly that any change is due in a preponderating degree to the pause and not to the change of temperature. The results recorded below justify this assumption.
