Abstract

Learning Objectives After completing this course, the reader will be able to: Discuss the function of the mTOR pathway in cancer cell growth and survival.Describe the potential mechanism of targeting this pathway by rapamycin and its derivatives for cancer therapy.Summarize the clinical trials performed with mTOR inhibitors in the treatment of sarcomas and suggest the future clinical development of these inhibitors in the treatment of sarcomas.
