Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the alternate form reliability of the Higgins-Wertman Test of Visual Closure. Alternate forms were given 1 wk. apart to 25 boys and 25 girls. 5 boys and 5 girls were randomly selected from each of 5 first grade classes in a school located in a low socio-economic census tract. Significant reliability coefficients, ranging from .61 to .80, were found for alternate forms. Aspects of reading achievement correlated significantly with final closure.
