Abstract
The relationship of student authoritarian attitudes and the perception of university control structures are examined. Responses to the F scale and Tannenbaum-Kahn Questionnaire were obtained from 72 students. Students scoring higher in authoritarianism ( n = 24) tend to desire greater control by the administration and faculty and less control by student groups and perceive new student groups, i.e., the Students for a Democratic Society and Black Students Association as having greater power than do students scoring lower in authoritarianism ( n = 24).
