Abstract
AbstractExtended hybrid continuous mode expands the design bandwidth of the power amplifier (PA) by sacrificing drain efficiency. To balance the performance of drain efficiency and bandwidth, this letter limits the range of relevant parameters of its impedance space through theoretical analysis. An improved high‐efficiency load impedance space is proposed. Through the improved high‐efficiency impedance space, a PA operating at 0.8–2.2 GHz is designed, with a drain efficiency of more than 55% and an output power of more than 38.2 dBm, which verifies the design goals of broadband and high efficiency.
