Abstract
AbstractThe stoichiometry of the reactions between Al(C2H5)3 or Al(C2H5)3 and Cr(acac)3 is examined by quantitative determination of gaseous reaction products or unreacted reagents as weel as by conductometric titration. Solid reaction products have been isolated and analyzed. From stoichiometry, magnetic measurements and interpretation of I.R. spectra of reaction solutions and of reaction products a reaction mechanism and the structure of a reaction products is suggested. The reaction products is considered as formed essentially by coordination of the organoaluminium compound to the oxygen atomes of the acetylacetonate.
