The place and role of agriculture in the formation of the distributive part of the labor force balance

Abstract

Subject. This article discusses the importance of the labor force employed in agriculture in the total volume of labor resources in the economy. Objectives. The article aims to determine the percentage of workers employed in the agricultural sector and in the distributive part of the labor force balance, and compare changes in the number of rural population and those employed in agricultural production. Methods. For the study, we used a correlation and regression analysis, time series analysis, horizontal and vertical balance analysis, and comparison. Results. The article reveals the contribution of individual industries to the formation of the distributive part of the labor force balance in the country's economy as a whole. Conclusions. Agriculture plays an insignificant role in the formation of the distributive part of the labor force balance in Russia, and the situation is deteriorating. Dynamic and progressive development of agro-industrial structures of an innovative type is an important condition for the consolidation of the population in rural areas.
